The Empire Farm is an organic farm owned by Sally and Adrian Morgan. The farm occupies 100 acres in the Blackmore Vale, near Wincanton in Somerset.

Sally and Adrian keep poultry (chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys), together with sheep and pigs.
They are very keen to help promote rare breeds, and they do this by choosing traditional and endangered breeds wherever possible.

There is a small breeding flock of Dorsetdown and Southdown sheep, and a herd of Gloucester Old Spot and Saddleback pigs as well as some lovely Kune Kunes. And the farm also has a few unusual animals, such as rheas. And to help native bees, there are now some bee hives. All the produce raised on the farm is used on the courses.

The farm is also the venue for a wide range of butchery and smallholder courses which take place in the newly renovated Coach House. Courses are led by Sally Morgan, Dan Green, Marc Frederick and Vivien Lloyd.

The farmhouse is a former rectory, and has a fascinating history, with parts of the property dating back to 1606. The farm has a very spacious, and fully self-contained holiday let, called Garden Lodge, which has been renovated to provide first-class holiday accommodation for up to 6 people.

Sally and Adrian trust that you find this site informative and useful, and hope that you come on a course, or stay in the Garden Lodge, or perhaps even do both!
